I work on the boring, load-bearing layers everything else quietly depends on — observability at extreme scale, Kubernetes platforms, governance for MCP. Systems lie. I collect the evidence.

Root cause

The narrowest number below is the one that matters: for six years I led engineering teams, most of that running observability at billions of active time series behind one of Europe’s largest e-commerce platforms. The Kubernetes underneath it was nothing new either — years of commercial Docker and Kubernetes training and on-prem cluster automation came first. That kind of scale teaches one durable lesson: systems lie, and the only cure is evidence.

Agentic infrastructure is now replaying the classics — opaque traffic, implicit trust, no audit trail. Same failure modes, worse manners. So I build MCP Hangar, a policy enforcement plane for MCP, and I publish the receipts at whyisthisdown.com. Working rule: verify on the artifact, not the changelog.
